Welcoming a New Roommate

As the new semester gets nearer and nearer, you may find that you will be meeting a new roommate for the first time. Your roommate will most likely be with you for a number of years as you go throughout your college experience (as long as all goes well!). It is important to have a good relationship with your roommate so that you can gain the most from your college years, and enjoy yourself!

Therefore, here are some tips that you can use to help foster a positive relationship the first few days of the semester.

1) Grab lunch. One of your first days on campus, you and your roommate should have lunch or dinner together. This can be an excellent time to get to know one another and help figure out what you have in common. This may be the person who you have to rely on the most, so knowing them well is a huge plus.

2) Organize your dorm. Your dorm is where you’ll spend most of your time when you aren’t in classes. By taking some time to organize your Virginia Tech dorm accessories, , furniture and other essentials, you can create a living space that is comfortable for you both.

3) Explore the campus. Virginia Tech is a bigger campus with many different buildings. It is a good idea to walk around the campus together, not only to identify classroom buildings but also to find stores, hang outs, and other places that you may spend your time.

We hope you and your roommate have a good and safe semester, and remember to rock those Virginia Tech t-shirts together!

Virginia Tech Football Gear for 2011 Season

August is winding down, which means only one thing: It’s almost college football season!

This means it’s the time of year when you can start getting ready to watch your Virginia Tech Hokies take to the gridiron and pave the way to victory. The football season lasts from the warm August nights, to the cool autumn breeze, to the cold of winter – which means that you need to be properly outfitted for each of these three seasons.

During the summer, you will be able stay cool with these Virginia Tech Under Armour shorts. These shorts are designed to keep the moisture away from your body, even in the blistering heat. For the cool of the fall you can keep yourself warm with this Hokies Under Armour quarter zip mock. With long sleeves and medium fleece, you can stay warm on an autumn night without being too hot. However, for the cold of the winter you may need something a little heavier, such as this Virginia Tech Under Armour Hoodie. As you are out in the stadium cheering on our team toward another Bowl Championship, remember CampusEmporium.com for your Virginia Tech gear for each season.

Go Hokies!
